Project Spotlight: 'The Undeclared War' Returns for Season 2

Note: This project was completed by Jessica Moran under our previous brand, Film & TV Clearances. We are proud to continue supporting award-winning talent as The Media Rights Collective.

The Media Rights Collective is delighted to celebrate the return of The Undeclared War, with all six episodes of Season 2 now airing on Channel 4 following its premiere on 21 July.

Created by Peter Kosminsky and Colin Callender, the acclaimed cyber-thriller returns with Colin Teevan as lead writer and Paul McGuigan directing all six episodes. Simon Pegg reprises his role as GCHQ Chief of Operations Danny Patrick, alongside returning cast Hannah Khalique-Brown, Alex Jennings and Ed Stoppard, and is joined this season by Siân Brooke, Danny Sapani and Chloe Pirrie.

THE SCRIPT TO SCREEN JOURNEY

Few genres demand greater precision than fact-based drama set inside real institutions. Having provided Script Clearance Reports(including negative checks) and Production Clearance counsel across both seasons for Playground, Stonehenge Films and Universal Global Television, The Media Rights Collective is proud to have supported The Undeclared War from its first outing through to this ambitious new chapter.

Our work ensures that dramas drawing on the real world of intelligence, government and current events remain legally robust without compromising their creative ambition. Returning for a second season alongside a production is always a privilege, and a mark of the trust at the heart of these collaborations.

We extend our warmest congratulations to the cast, crew and producers — Season 2 of The Undeclared War is streaming now on Channel 4.
