Privacy Policy

1. Who we are. The Media Rights Collective Limited ("TMRC", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this website and when you deal with us directly. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09930769; registered office: 15 Stevens Lane, Rotherfield Peppard, Henley-on-Thames, England, RG9 5RG. For any question or request about your data, email jessica@mediarightscollective.com.

2. What we collect. Enquiries and consultations: your name, email address and the contents of your message when you use our contact or consultation forms, or email us. Newsletter: your name and email address, if you opt in. Client records: contact, engagement and billing details, if you become a client. Technical data: information about how you use the site (pages visited, device and browser type, IP address), collected through cookies — see our Cookies Notice. You are not required to give us any of this information, but without it we cannot reply to you or provide our services.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis. Responding to enquiries and providing quotes: our legitimate interests in responding to the people who contact us and winning business, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Providing our services and invoicing: performance of a contract. Sending our newsletter: your consent — unsubscribe at any time by emailing us. Website analytics: your consent, given through the cookie banner. Running and securing the website: our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working. Keeping accounting and tax records: our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business — such as our website and form host, our email provider, our accounting software and the other technology tools we use in preparing our work — and with professional advisers where necessary. Each processes data under contract terms that protect it.

5. International transfers. Some of our providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by approved contractual safeguards. A copy of the safeguards is available on request.

6. How long we keep it. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to two years from our last contact. Client and accounting records: at least six years, as required for tax purposes. Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights. You have the right to ask for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis for using it. To exercise any of these rights, email jessica@mediarightscollective.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) — though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.

8. Cookies. See our Cookies Notice for the cookies we use and how to control them.

9. Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies.
